I've been working with the door open this afternoon, hoping that some of my missing migrants would reveal themselves. I was just preparing a hank of chestnut bow hair (crin bronze marron clair) to go on a baroque bass bow of snakewood (Piratinera guianensis), when a Rose-breasted Grosbeak (Pheucticus ludovicianus) began singing. As I type this, the bird has moved over to the feeder, like a native returned.
