FINALLY our favorite compatriots are returning. It has been a slow resurgence here on West Hill, but today brought RED-EYED VIREO, SCARLET TANAGER, and INDIGO BUNTING back into our yard-lives. Makes tackling the gardens almost bearable.
The big treat today though is a very vociferous TENNESSEE WARBLER singing from the low, heavy-blossomed apple tree branches.
