Hi all, It think it has to do with the settings of the sender's and receivers email set up. Some people send emails in the MIME format, I think that is what Dave is doing and his set up is configured for that. Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (MIME) is an Internet Standard that extends the format of e-mail to support.
Some email readers are configured to read these messages and some digests are not configured to read these. Cornell email users can see these formats if individual emails are being looked at. If it comes in the digest then it cannot read as the digest has already garbled format. It happens a lot with digests. Sometimes I too get such messages on Neoorn list, which I receive as a digest. So I think Dave has to look into the format he is set up with and see if he can change to other formats. I am not a computer guru either, but this is what I believe happens. With all other posters the message reads fine, however, with Dave Nutter, the message gets lost in computer jargon. Being very un-computer savvy myself, I have no idea what is causing this, but thought I would copy & paste a section of his last message. I'm hoping someone out there may be able to figure out what's going on. This is the first part of his last message (as it appeared to me): Delivered-To: [email protected] Received: by 10.37.44.207 with SMTP id s198csp262590ybs; Fri, 28 Aug 2015 16:27:32 -0700 (PDT) X-Received: by 10.140.195.148 with SMTP id q142mr20849585qha.92.1440804452155; Fri, 28 Aug 2015 16:27:32 -0700 (PDT) Return-Path: Received: from list.cornell.edu (list.cornell.edu. Hope we can figure out this glitch, thanks.
