Father Downy Woodpecker is feeding his begging baby at my eye level in the tree
outside my big screen porch.
I have at least 3, if not 4 Brown Thrashers cavorting in the front yard, dust
bathing and maybe "anting" on the road shoulder - probably the father is there
with some young and their mother.
Tufted Titmouse is feeding baby in the tree too, just can't tell if it is
father or mother.

I makes me think of my own dear departed father who took good care of us.
Happy Day all you fathers out there!

Subject: [cayugabirds-l] Father's Day Oriole

The bird activity in my yard has been most entertaining of late. The Redwings
were most disturbed by what turned out to be a weasel patrolling around the
pond yesterday. Meanwhile, on the other side of the pond, I heard chattering
from what turned out to be an Oriole nest. Needless to say I was thrilled.
Yesterday, I watched her do most of the feeding while Dad chased off the Blue
Jay. This morning, I watched the nest with my scope and could see four little
heads/necks reaching for their next meal and it was Dad bringing breakfast.

Cheers to all the dads on this day.
