Have had some interesting birds at our feeders recently. We've had a CHIPPING SPARROW every day since Thursday. Yesterday a first-winter male ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK stopped by briefly. This morning there was a juvenile male RED-WINGED BLACKBIRD feeding on the ground with the other birds. It disappeared when a COOPER'S HAWK flew in and took one of the mourning doves. It hasn't returned.
