Montezuma National Wildlife Complex (MNWC) and Montezuma Wetlands Complex (MWC)---------------- No reports this week. Onondaga County------------ SNOWY OWLS were seen in many places this week. on 12/15 one was seen in downtown Syracuse , on 12/16 one was seen at Hancock Airport and on 12/17 another was seen on Hoag Road south of Baldwinsville. 12/13: 2 BRANT were seen at the Inner Harbor near Destiney. 12/14: A LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL was seen at Mercer Park in Baldwinsville. 12/16: A SHORT-EARED OWL was seen at Hancock Airport. A GRAY CATBIRD was seen behind the Dewitt Wegmans. An AMERICAN WOODCOCK was seen at Cicero Swamp. 12/17: A BLACK-LEGGED KITTYWAKE was seen on Onondaga Lake from the Honeywell Visitor’s Center. Oswego County------------ 12/15: A SNOWY OWL was seen on Bishop Road north on Pulaski. It was seen again on the 17th. 12/16: A SNOWY OWL was seen on Oneida Lake from Joseph William Park. 12/17: A HERMIT THRUSH and a YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER were seen at Rice Creek Biological Station south of Oswego. A WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW was seen onOswego Street in Hannibal. A CACKLING GOOSE was seen on Oneida Lake in Brewerton. Madison County------------ 12/12: A NORTHERN SHRIKE was seen on Lake Road near Erieville. 12/16: A PINE SISKIN was seen on Eden Hollow Road south of Cazenovia. Oneida county------------ 12/14: A HERMIT THRUSH was seen at Spring Farm Nature Center south of Clinton.
