I am almost positive that I just flushed a flock of 16 Willet off the stone beach, just north of the Ramada and the iron foot bridge, on Seneca Lake in Geneva.
White and black bars on the wings, a white rump patch and they were vocalizing a nasally high pitch sound as they flew over and circled. No photos of course. I was walking dogs! Is this crazy? I can't make them into anything else.
