Walking the dog on the abandoned Mineah Rd. (Mount Pleasant area) today, I was so chuffed to recognize my first brown thrasher, sitting atop a tree in a bushy spot between fields, singing a long and beautiful evening song. I thought I’d seen him (her?) in the area a little while ago, but wasn’t sure. Today, I got a thrillingly good long look and listen. Enchanting.
