Almost my first bird this morning was a Mourning Warbler singing in the familiar breeding territory on the west side of Bald Hill Road, opposite the yellow gate, in the Danby State Forest. Across the road one or two Pine Warblers sang frequently (OK, I’m paying more attention to them!)
