Late yesterday afternoon as I was beginning my walk around Beebe Lake, I was passing over the pedestrian bridge on the west end of the lake. When I looked up, I saw a bird circling. I was most surprised to see the bright white head of a BALD EAGLE. Just at that moment another large bird flew overhead downstream. It had a fish in its talons (headfirst). I couldn’t tell if it was an osprey or an eagle, as it flew downstream into the sun and quickly disappeared. Oh well! It could have been another eagle (immature).
