The Refuge is currently short-staffed. Work on flooding the Visitors Center pool was scheduled to begin last week but problems were encountered with the pump. They are working hard to resolve the problem. I wouldn't be surprised but in the next few days there will be water in that area. Not sure if water levels at Carncross can be manipulated.
