Thanks Laura. This map is a GeoPDF - Geocoded PDF. I opened Avenza Maps on my Android phone, put in the URL to download this map. Now when I visit the Durland Preserve area I will be able to see exactly where I am. Nigel

A GeoPDF is a georeferenced PDF file, meaning that it is a Portable Document Format (PDF) file with added information that relates the image to coordinates on a map.

> Hi all,
>  With all of the activity at the Durland Preserve, I realized that I really did not know what the actual boundaries are, and what the status of the surrounding area is.  I reached out to Jay McGowan who provided this link to a map (http://cornellbotanicgardens.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/Ellis-Hollow-Wetlands.pdf) from the Cornell Botanic Garden, which shows that the preserve and surrounding areas are part of the "Ellis Hollow Wetlands," one of the Botanic Garden Natural Areas!  It is great to see so much of this area protected (although not all of it). In addition, here is a link to the 'Natural Heritage of the Ellis Hollow Wetlands." https://cornellbotanicgardens.org/explore/off-campus-natural-areas/plants-of-ellis-hollow-wetlands/
> I've always considered this preserve to be like a secret, hidden gem in the middle of growing suburbia.  Now I have a better understanding of just what an amazing gem it is.
