Around 11 this morning, I watched a Rough-legged Hawk circling over the fields along Mt Pleasant Road, before making its way slowly westward toward the observatory. Hope it sticks around...it's been a number of years since this species spent the winter on Mt Pleasant.
Also, yesterday around the same time, I glimpsed what I presume was the Common Redpoll flock foraging far on the south side of the Mt Pleasant weedy field (south side of the road) Marie Marie Read Wildlife Photography 452 Ringwood Road Freeville NY 13068 USA e-mail m...@cornell.edu Website: http://www.marieread.com NEW!
