I saw my first Cayuga Lake Osprey perched on the third nest west of the MNWR entrance from 2:05-3pm. this afternoon. It flew off and returned with building material several times within the hour I was there. I checked about 80 Osprey nests without any other sightings.
The snow geese are still south of Cayuga State Park. It's a phenomena not to be missed while they are still here. The sky was swirling with birds, many incoming, with many thousands congregated along the shoreline. Eyes to the Sky!
