I spotted a first of the year Eastern Meadowlark near Aurora. The bird was
in a field off of Carpenter Rd . about a quarter of a mile west of the
intersection of Carpenter and Black Rock Rd. Take Poplar Ridge Rd east off
of Rt.90 to Black Rock Rd., turn right and proceed south to Carpenter, turn
right and proceed about a quarter of a mile. I will post a couple of photos
on eBird.
