As you may or may not know, Lansing’s Salt Point is a ‘wildlife management 
area’ owned by the New York State DEC. (Managed by friends of Salt Point for 
town of Lansing for most things-but not hunting; we have “an agreement/lease” 
with DEC).

> Lately, the NYS DEC has been setting up more formal permits for people to 
> hunt in there ( more formal than in past), so you will see new signs around 
> and three blinds at various places on the shore. 

> I don’t know when hunting there is to begin, but thought I’d let you all know 
> to watch for signs that say when hunting is going to begin at Salt Point.
