Union Springs, NY ...At 11:40 a.m. I watched a white-breasted nuthatch
getting meal worms from a cat food can attached to the clothes line arm
next to the bluebird house.
After eating some, s/he hopped down into the can &, sheltered from the
wind, nestled down & closed his/her eyes. I looked out 10 minutes later
& it's head was tucked under its wing! A few minutes more & the little
cutie was gone.
Quite the thrill for Becky & me.
