Chris- I concur. With more cloud cover we likely will be able to see the
migrants!  I have the feeling that a lot of raptors headed north today and
yesterday but with few clouds they probably went unnoticed and were very high
up.  The first local broad winged hawks have returned to a couple nesting areas
in Broome Co. today. Blue Headed Vireos are increasing down here and pine
warblers are now abundant in suitable pine forest habitat. Cooler weather
returns for  Monday with a cold front passing through Sunday night. Monday
morning could be interesting as the next round of migrants are downed. Most of
our early arriving waterfowl and gulls have left with this warm spell. Next
batch should be down by Monday!

Just a heads-up—literally: heads. Up. Tomorrow.

There should be a good push of migrating raptors overhead throughout the day.
Southerly airflow and overcast skies will make for some prime migratory and
viewing conditions. Predominant species should be Broad-winged Hawk.

Good luck!

Sincerely,
