While walking our dog this morning, we observed two Northern Harriers in the Mt. Pleasant/Mineah fields—one the field by the Mt. Pleasant/Mineah intersection, the other on the field further down the abandoned part of Mineah road. I unfortunately couldn’t tell if male or female, but as I know we’ve observed a male + female in that area a couple of years ago, I do wonder whether a pair of harriers might not be breeding in the area.
