I live in Binghamton and my few hummingbirds I had have been gone
over a week. My feeders and flowers on my deck are still up. I go by
the rule here. ARRIVAL MAY 1ST....DEPARTURE SEPT 1ST.

FWIW ours in Ellis Hollow usually are gone by Labor Day or shortly
thereafter, but this year we’ve seen hummingbirds daily throughout
September. This morning three buzzed past me in the yard. Every batch
of nectar I make I think will be the last.

I am curious, however, if these are the birds who return here to nest
each year or if there are now migrants coming through.

Perhaps someone has already answered this question, but I didn't see
that exchange, and am asking again if the hummingbirds have migrated
from our area. We haven't seen any at our feeder for over a week.

        Thanks for any information.
