Not as bright as we've seen in years past, but if you can get a clear
view to the north & northwest, you should be able to see some red to the
west and a bright band to the north, with pulses that race across the
sky from it and some radiating rays forming and dissolving. Some pale
blue, green & turquoise at different times but mostly just a
brightness. Give your eyes 10 minutes to adjust & you'll see a lot
more. But be warned: Brian said it wasn't enough to get out of bed for
on such a chilly night!
