Not exotic but very welcome travelers in our yard today.

Male and female Purple Finches mixed in with the House Finches and Goldfinches.
  The White throated sparrows have already been here for many days. 
 Also, a male Towhee.
  I’m glad we could provide them with food (native trees and plants, some 
fruiting [Spicebush-Lindera Benzoin] and some with seed heads [Native Grasses, 
Goldenrod, and Asters]) and cover (bushes and evergreens).
