I just emailed Paul that I had Snow Goose in Lansing on 30 Dec (900!!) in a 
corn stubble field at 34B and Armstrong Rd. I really hoped that they were 
spending the nights off Portland Point and that my group would get them in the 
early morning of the count, but they didn't show up.

We also did have Red-breasted Merganser on the 1st just south of Ladoga Rd, but 
unfortunately, they were about a quarter mile north of the count circle.

These species are often observed on the Ithaca Christmas Bird Count, but were 
missed this year on Count Day, January 1. Have you observed any of them within
