Thanks to Paul Anderson the 2025 Cayuga Lake Basin First Records List is now
available on the Cayuga Bird Club website under resources:

https://sites.google.com/site/cbc14850/resources/cayuga-lake-basin-first-records-and-arrival-information

It includes several species which were found New Year’s Day but outside the
Ithaca Count Circle, plus additional species keep being found throughout the
basin.

Most of my information is from eBird, but other sources are okay too. You are
welcome to write to me or to this listserve about new finds.

When an additional species is found, I try to list everyone who reported
observing it the first day giving credit to the first person(s) who found or
identified or spread the word. This can make for long lists if many people
converge to see a rarity, or if a species arrives in a wave with many
individuals found the same day. Both phenomena are noteworthy.

Please let me know if any of the information in the tables looks wrong.
