Hi all,

Courtney and I are postponing tomorrow's (Feb. 15) Cayuga Bird Club field
trip "Winter Finch Adventure" because of a potential winter storm affecting
the area, which gave rise to concerns about an all day trip with hours of
driving.

Weather dependent, we will tentatively postpone the trip to the following
Saturday instead, Feb. 22. Here's the info if you're interested :

Meet at 7:00am, Saturday, Feb 22

Leader: Caleb Centanni and Courtney Jett

For this trip, we will explore elevated forest lands in the eastern Finger
Lakes in search of finches and other winter forest birds, potentially
including visiting historic or current known sites and checking good
habitat off the beaten path. This winter is seeing a low intensity
irruption of Evening Grosbeaks, so they will be a potentially findable
target species. We plan to meet in the morning at the Lab of Ornithology
for carpooling. Dress for weather in layers and walking in snow and ice.
The trip is open to everyone. Please check the club calendar and/or
Cayugabirds Listserve for updates on the exact location/time, or feel free
to reach out to Caleb Centanni (ca...@centanni.com) to confirm details.

If you plan to attend this trip and have a winter-capable vehicle to offer
for carpooling, please let Caleb know (ca...@centanni.com).

Hope to see you there next weekend!

Best wishes,
Caleb Centanni
