I just heard a male RW Blackbird call in phragmites across road from my cottage
at Kendal.

None here at our place in Lansing. Only the usual winter birds at our feeders.

I’ve been seeing a flock of blackbirds for about a week and a half now. I think
mostly starlings and about 2 to 3 dozen at a time.

And skunks!

As if someone had told them the calendar had turned to March, I looked out my
window just now to see a mixed flock of at least 150 blackbirds at my feeding
stations near Phelps, NY. About 2/3 grackles and 1/3 redwings. Mostly male with
a few female redwings in the mix. A sight to see for sure!
