Title: Development -Business Analyst Duration: 2 Years Location: St. Louis, MO (Local or Near by areas only) Skills: Collection, analysis & documentation of a clients business needs, providing innovative business solutions, Product Management, business modeling concepts Description: Key Responsibilities: Role holders in this family should at all times be focused on developing & improving business processes both within the technology and business organizations or understanding client requirements, specifying and analyzing these to a sufficient level of detail to ensure clarity of definition for the next stage of the project. Responsible for the collection, analysis & documentation of a client*s business needs & requirements that may include, but are not limited to:-- Participating in short term planning sessions with a client to improve a business process within an assigned client are. Use a structured requirements process to assess near-term needs, identify business priorities and, and advise client on options. - Collecting, writing, and communicating business requirements between Us and a business client to design & implement business solutions. Uses agreed business analysis process to produce appropriate documentation.- Developing relationships with a client by being proactive, displaying a thorough understanding of their business, and providing innovative business solutions.- Understanding our Development organization, in addition to other specialized areas such as Product Management and Data, and future direction of the business for an assigned client area.- Understanding the effects of technology used within the organization, and the impact on the business client.- Understanding basic financial information and markets and the future direction of the industry.- Developing a basic awareness and understanding of Our technologies, products, and services.- Recommending metrics to ensure customer satisfaction. Physical requirements of the job entail sitting at a computer workstation and moderate to advanced typing skills to enter information. The role may also require prolonged periods of sitting at a workstation where the analyst is monitoring their computer screen(s) to use cognitive and logistical skills to determine whether application data is accurate, to respond to requests in electronic formats (mail or instant messaging), and process incoming phone calls or work requests made in person. The analyst role requires strong verbal and inter-personal skills to help the analyst drive work to completion. The role requires frequent walking to go to other workstations / offices within the building and outside the building to resolve questions, have one-on-one discussions, and lead meetings. Stand-up discussions are frequent for the job as well and may last over an hour at a time Professional Experience: * Needs to have a high level understanding of the overall Development or internal systems architecture in order to understand the issues & implications of proposed systems & hardware solutions * Typically requires 3 or more years of relevant technical or business work experience. Ideally a background in business area supported* Requires experience with and understanding of Business Operations and requirements processes, as well as basic business modeling concepts. May also need experience in information systems, development life cycle, business process development and leadership skills. * Bachelor*s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience. *Note:**Successful candidates have experience working at the following companies: Wells Fargo, Scott Trade, Wachovia, AG Edwards, Boeing.
