Job Description - UNIX-SPL Division/Department: IT IS Location: Brea, CA Job title: AIX ( Unix) Migration Engineer L2 Reports to: Title: 12+ Months Type of position: Contract General Description: This role is having the following responsibilities of Unix servers (AIX / HPUX / Solaris) Administration and migration of the same. Essential Skills: . Hardware knowledge of P520,550,590,595 in POWER5,POWER6 . Building Lpar and vio . Experience on HMC . AIX and VIO Installations by various method . AIX and VIO upgradation, maintenance & Trouble Shooting . Virtualization on IBM P series Hardware and Client Configuration . SAN disk configuration to LPAR,VIO server . Firmware upgradation . AIX server customization . NIM installation and configuration . Experience on different level of Migration . mksysb management . Performance analysis and Tuning . HACMP Implementation, upgradation, maintenance & Trouble Shooting . Dynamic LPAR & Problem Determination * SSH configuration and Administration Desired Skills: . Experience on Data center migration . Experience in other Unix Operating system like HP UX and Sun Solaris and respective OS virtualization . . Knowledge on WPAR, Partition mobility Desired Certification: IBM certified AIX System Administration Education Requirements .
