Our Client is looking for two resources with common skills, but one more
heavy on the JDE side for contract opportunities in southeast suburbs of
Minneapolis /St Paul Minnesota. Both candidates should have JDE E1
experience, and preference is in distribution, inventory, manufacturing and
financials. However, one of them needs to be more of a general BA. The JDE
experience is always helpful in this arena. The general BA will be focused
on gathering requirements for logistics systems. Both should have some
leadership experience, and *excellent verbal* and written skills.

*Responsibilities:* We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst Sr. for JD
Edwards Enterprise One and version 9.02 ERP software. The major functional
business areas currently using the ERP solution are Manufacturing, Sales,
Supply (including Inventory Management, Forecasting, and Procurement), and
Financials. Primary focus of this position is international grain marketing
and to be used in all business units to support JDE business requirements,
development and support. Additionally, this position could be expected to
gather business requirements and oversee projects for non JDE projects and
enhancements in the areas of logistics, document management and Sharepoint.
Designs and evaluates programs for use in internal systems within
functional areas, including but not limited to finance, operations, and
reporting. Analyzes existing programs or formulates logic for new systems,
devices logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, and tests/debugs programs.
Develops conversions and system implementation plans. Prepares and obtains
approval of system and programming documentation. Recommends changes in
development, maintenance, and system standards. Trains users in conversions
and implementation of systems. The Senior Business Systems Analyst will
analyze standard and custom developed processes and recommend design changes
to facilitate business requirements. You will also provide leadership by
actively planning and training staff and collaborating with the all areas of
the business, for JD Edwards Enterprise One and 8.12 ERP applications within
the Client. *Independent Judgment and Scope Complexity*: Under limited
supervision with the authority, within guidelines, to deviate from standard
practices and to take appropriate course of action to resolve issues at
hand. Competent to work at the highest technical level of most phases of
systems analysis while considering the business implications of the
application of technology to the current and future business environment.
*Requirements:* Specifically, you will be asked to provide strategic
direction on the technical foundations of ERP systems. This will include
the development of best business practices for IT development for use in the
JD Edwards Enterprise One application development efforts. Responsibilities
will include front-end analysis, design, testing, documentation,
implementation, and support of ERP application development projects. You
will also be required to develop appropriate documentation as needed based
on Clients IT Methodology.
§ Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through
research and fact-finding combined with an excellent understanding of
business systems, industry requirements, and available IT solutions. §
Proactively gathers documents, analyzes business needs and
requirements, manages communication about the requirements throughout the
lifecycle, plans and executes system testing, and facilitates user
acceptance of the solution.
§ Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems
considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and
form of desired results.
§ Guide business customers through business case development for
new applications/functionality, including cost / benefit analysis and risk /
impact analysis.
§ Minimize application support load by refining error management
and moving initial triage to the Service Center
. § Analyzes business strategy and user needs, documents
specifications, and translates business objectives into proper system
requirement specifications.
§ Understand industry issues and trends and present technical
solutions that enhance the value of our customers’ products and services.
§ Take ownership of support activities for assigned applications
and assure secondary resources are defined and are well trained and
competent to support the application
§ Manages and develops enhancements and takes ownership of QA and
acceptance testing of completed projects. To qualify, you must have:
· BS or BA degree in Management Information Systems, Business
Management or equivalent work experience at a high level.
· Minimum of 5 years of application development experience.
· Minimum of 3 years analyzing ERP solutions utilizing JD Edwards
Enterprise One & 8.12 software.
· Experience with the following JD Edwards Enterprise One & 8.12
modules:
· Experience in the Grain and Agronomy industry desired.
· Experience with Case tools, MS SQL Server, Visual Basic, and MS
Project desired.
· Project Management experience desired.
· Ability to work in a team environment without direct supervision.
