Job Description: This position will provide Data Warehouse ETL development solutions using Informatica and Oracle technology. Participate in detailed design activity, development/unit testing, and delivering large scale multi-terabyte Data Warehousing solutions. Position will work closely with the ETL Lead, Senior ETL Developer, DBA, QA, and other KPIT groups. We are looking for an individual with good technical skills for this challenging position. Primary responsibilities include: · Creating detailed design documents for the project working with the Sr. Developer/ ETL Lead · Translate ETL designs into very efficient code · Develop using ETL best practices and guidelines · Coding to meet product/project specific requirements · Creating test plans and unit test cases · Provide User Acceptance Testing support for the ETL process · Support deployment of ETL code into production · Provide production support for the data mart environment · Create and maintain Test documentation and Production Support & Administration document Required Qualifications and Skills: · Minimum of 8 years of detailed design and development experience in IT · 5+ years dedicated ETL detailed design/development using Informatica ETL solutions · Very good knowledge of Oracle, SQL, UNIX and Shell Scripting etc. · BS degree (Computer Science concentration preferred) or equivalent experience required · Design, implement, and develop ETL processes using best practices in the industry · Perform Quality Assurance, unit and system testing as well as complete documentation of deliverables · Experience designing, documenting ETL and performance tuning · Able to trouble shoot and create customized jobs · Experience with data cleansing and data quality processes · Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize work accordingly · Provides second level of production support Location - Pleasanton, CA Vishal Mishra IDC Technologies 408-852-7193 -- To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [email protected] For more options, visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/CBE-Software-Engineer?hl=en
