Role : Web Commerce Architect Location : Ohio & Chicago, IL Duration : 6 months extendable contract Job Description : We are looking for WCS 7.x as Mandatory requirement. Responsibilities: • WCS Version – WCS 7.x (Mandatory) and\ or others less than that • Translate client requirements into technical designs, design schemas using the features of WCS. • Will mentor and share knowledge, improve processes • Architect commerce features such as search, product details, personalization, merchandizing features such as catalog, pricing and promotions etc. • Diagnose and solve technical problems related to commerce implementation. • Interact with clients to create end-to-end specifications for ecommerce solutions. • Provide inputs and direction to senior developers on the team for design and implementation. • Define implementation processes, quality gates and standards. • Define best practices to manage performance and scalability of the ecommerce solution • Experience on customizing IBM Management Center and\or Accelerator • Hands-on with architecture, design and development, and will work very closely with WCS application quality and support the design/build process. • Individuals in this role are also expected to have deep knowledge of the product architecture, its internal capabilities, extension points, and support complex activities including scalable architecture definition, performance tuning, application integration design, migration strategies, etc. • Deep understanding of various caching mechanisms available in WCS and ability to leverage their suitability in different scenarios • Deep knowledge of WCS • Good understanding of WCS platform source code and ability to extend the product code to meet custom requirements • Experience on Media, Publishing, Information Management, Retail will be added advantage • WCS Landscape 1.
