Job Title:- Cognos BI Developer Job Location :- Warren (NJ) Duration :- More than a year 12+ months Max rate :- $50/hr c2c Key skills:- . Responsible for the complete range of Business Intelligence capabilities which include reporting, analysis, score carding and dashboards. . Provide an overall reporting solution foundation for the development, implementation and operation for data reporting, modeling, and data warehouse analysis. This includes tuning and optimizing reporting solutions. . Analyze business and user needs and designs Business Intelligence (BI) solutions that support business growth and operations with attention to business value and strategic BI direction. . Develop and support operational and ad-hoc reports using the Cognos 8.x/10.x tools which include Framework Manager, Transformer, Query Studio, Reporting Studio, Metrics Studio, Events Studio in Cognos 8.x/10.x. . Develop and maintain metadata layer in COGNOS Framework Manager. . Responsible for COGNOS capacity planning and troubleshooting performance issues. . Establishes practices to ensure data quality and performs quality review of COGNOS Framework Manager and data modeling. . Ability to provide BI functional help desk support including 1st & 2nd level support, on-call troubleshooting & problem resolution. . Must possess at least 5+ years of solid experience in all functional areas of COGNOS in an enterprise data warehouse and BI report development team. . Must be capable of developing and implementing BI reports and KPI dashboards. . Experience with dimensional modeling including facts, dimensions, star and snow flake schemas and other OLAP tools and techniques. . Must be a self starter and be able to work with minimum supervision. . Must have worked on Oracle/SYBASE IQ/SQL Server data warehouse databases with expertise in tuning of the underlying SQL. .
