Position Title: Front End Java Developer
Position Purpose
Work with a Scrum team of developers, analysts, and product owners to build
Web Applications as components for a multi-tier Restaurant POS system.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
Working within an Agile development methodology
Collaborating with peers to meet complex multi-tier system requirements
Providing subject matter expertise for Web Application development
challenges
Ability to learn and absorb new technologies as needed
Sharing of application testing responsibilities with project team
Qualifications
· Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s in Computer Science or comparable.
· Required Experience:
5+ total years of professional software development experience
3-5 years of professional software development experience building Java
Web Applications
2+ years of experience with portal standards such as JSR 286
Hands-on experience with a portal framework (preferably JetSpeed 2.0)
JSON, AJAX, Javascript, HTML, CSS
Strong understanding of application servers, web servers, and other
elements of an internet infrastructure
Experience with any of the following JavaScript frameworks: Ext JS 4 ,
JQuery or Prototype.
Spring Portlet MVC experience
SQL experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Experience with Cross-Browser programming
· Desirable Experience (not required):
Experience working on a Scrum team, experience in a team room
Linux experience
POS payment applications or transaction processing
Work in a Continuous Integration environment
· Experience with creating wire frames and prototypes
· Experience with No-SQL databases (e.g. Couch DB)

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
· Physical Requirements: Those required in a typical office
environment including sitting most of the time, finger dexterity for
computer and paper work, talking to convey detailed or important
instructions, average hearing for normal conversations, and average visual
acuity.
Working Conditions: No hazardous or significantly unpleasant
conditions
