The consultant in this role may be asked to execute the following tasks including, but not limited to: • Defining and gathering business user and data requirements, • Developing the overall BI or Data architecture, • Developing the logical data models, • Building ETL jobs (SSIS), SSAS cubes, Performance Point dashboards or SSRS reports. • Developing and testing .NET solutions (Web and Windows based) using C#/ VB.Net <http://vb.net/> according to specific business requirements *Education and Experience: * BS-Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent degree with at least five years' experience in providing technical support or equivalent combination. • Remain proficient on the Microsoft BI suite of tools and be able to deliver across diverse team roles. • Minimum of 3 years IT experience in architecting, delivering and supporting data warehousing and business intelligence solutions. Deep knowledge and experience with Microsoft BI/DW tools, technologies and products (SQL Server Integration Services, Analysis Services, Performance Point and Reporting Services, etc). • At least 3 years of experience on .Net 2.0 and 2 years of experience on later .Net framework. • Knowledge of SQL Server 2005, Management, Design, Replication Services, CLR Integration, Managed Provider, Native HTTP and SOAP, Database Architecture / Security Strong expertise on T-SQL • Extensive experience in the design and development of ETL, DW OLAP and Dashboard/Scorecard and Reporting functionality. • Knowledge of Internet application architectures that leverage Web Services • Excellent oral and written communication skills, a teamwork-centric work style, strong interpersonal skills, and superior organizational skills • Microsoft Certification is a plus. *Required Skills:* • Experience in writing simple/complex queries, T-SQL programming and creating database objects such as Views, Stored Procedures, Triggers, UDF etc., • Experience in creating SSIS Packages • Proficient in implementing different transformations like Lookup, Fuzzy Lookup, Derived Columns, Condition Split, Sort , Audit , Multicast , Merge, MergeJoin, UnionAll, scd, Aggregate, Execute SQL Task, and Execute Package Task etc. • Experience in Debugging, Error Handling and Deploying the SSIS packages. • Expert Knowledge in creating/using Variables, Expressions, Package Configurations, Logging, Break Points and Check Points. • Experience in Creating Reports using MS SqlServer Reporting Services(SSRS) • Hands on in creating reports in different formats like Table, Matrix, Pie Chart, Bar chart etc., and exporting the reports in specified format. • ASP.net <http://asp.net/> , C#, VB.Net <http://vb.net/>, VB 6.0 • Good knowledge in creating Adhoc reports ,Drill through reports, Drill down reports, Caching, Subscriptions etc., and Having good knowledge in providing Security to the reports and deploying the SSRS Projects. • Experience with Microsoft VSS, TFS.
