Please include your employer details as well. *Job Title* IT Security Specialist *Project Location* Houston, TX *Duration* 6 months /Contract *Interview Mode: Phone and Skype*** *Skills Required and Job Description:* They have been seeing resumes from a security audit perspective whereas they need someone that has not only performed security audits but has had some real time experience designing a security environment and troubleshooting issues when there was a security breach and understands what firewalls, anti-virus and directory structure that needs to be put in place to help mitigate security issues. One other point is this is a greenfield environment where we are standing this up from scratch in a temporary and permanent data center environments…so we want it designed correctly the first time. Client has experienced a few security breaches and is very sensitive to this risk. We are currently standing up a temporary data center via a private cloud solution with intentions of migrating it to the permanent data center. They need a resource that can help with developing the security profile within the temporary data center and make recommendations on the permanent data center. The person needs a strong security knowledge from a daily operations, network, policy and procedures- vulnerability testing and compliance, anti-virus deployment and use, and security facility requirements for a level 3 or 4 data center. Person also needs to have worked with Active Directory from the perspective of how to stand it up and set the correct roles/responsibilities for access and interfaces. It would be advantageous if the person as the applicable certifications within security (CISSP), and network (CCNA or HP certifications for network devices).
