*Job Title : Java Developer MQ Series Location: BOSTON, MA Duration: 6+ Months Contract * *Job Description:* The person in the Development Lead & Technical Analyst position should be able to quickly ramp-up on the existing architecture and design of the web application that has been built so far, and should be able to quickly grasp what needs to be built in order to complete the application – this task will require strong system analysis and business requirements analysis skills. This person should also be able to go through the functionality of an existing financial services web application and learn, with some initial guidance, how the nature of the functionality affects the complexity of the codebase. A keen desire to keep the architecture, design, and codebase as lean as possible is a must for this position. This person should be able to explain to the developers in the team, the architecture and design of the application, and should also be able to guide them in following the design and the coding standards that have been put in place, and also lead senior developers in creating better designs. Additionally, this person should also be able to explain the architecture and design with the business analyst and technical product manager, and also explain to them the impact of business functionality changes on the codebase. This is not a position where significant amount of hands-on development will be expected. *Required Skills:* 8+ years Java / J2EE experience 3+ years current/strong experience with MQ Series. Work with XML and XML-related technologies Tech Lead/Analyst - not a hands-on development role 10+ years experience with Java development - following technologies, frameworks, and patterns: Spring, Hibernate, Weblogic, JMS, JSON, XML, Oracle, Maven, JSP, REST Min. 3+ years of development team lead experience with leading 5 or more people 3+ years of system analysis experience Proven ability to design and develop large scale, complex applications 2+ years of experience working in an Agile environment with teams in multiple locations Significant experience working in the financial services industry is a plus.
