* * *Oracle DBA (Health Care Industry)* *Location: Bloomsburg, PA* *Duration: 6-12 Months* *Job Description:* · Assists in a leadership role for database administration activities including creating database's and data objects and managing database access. · Assists in evaluating DBA monitoring and productivity tools. · Assumes a senior advisory role for complete rdbms platform builds. ** · Reviews and mentors less senior dba's. ** · Performs highly complex data management and systems administration tasks. ** · Develops new data management methods and tools for projects that introduce new technology.** · Develops data management and access strategies that optimize technical resources. ** · Identifies, documents and tracks all database related performance problems and taking a leadership role in their resolution where appropriate. ** · Assists in evaluating, recommending and implementing tools and methods to automate database administration processes. ** · Analyzes and identifies trends in IT Data Management performance metrics. Designs, monitors and analyzes performance metrics programs for RDBMS performance and tuning and monitoring initiatives. ** · Keeps current with industry best practices and trends in database management practices, tools and techniques. Creates training program to educate others. ** · Works on projects of moderate to high complexity across two or more developmentenvironments. Works on multiple systems/rdbms platforms as a project team member. Considered a subject matter expert for a single system/rdbms platform. ** * * *Skills and Abilities:* ** · Demonstrates working knowledge of more than one major rdbms technology (excluding Access).** · Demonstrates the ability to provide database production support of critical systems including backup and recovery, database object creation and administration, performance tuning of queries and data structures. ** · Demonstrates strong systems administration skills. Capable of creating and tuning database memory structures. ** · Demonstrates the ability to mentor less senior dba's. ** · Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills along with excellent administrative and facilitation skills.
