The person in this position must demonstrate the ability to solve complex technical problems, take responsibility in delivering complex solutions, and adhere to Re:Sources IT practices. This person will interact with the technical cognos lead and architects, project and program manager, infrastructure and hosting, custom development, client portal and IT security teams in order to accomplish the assignments. Will also be responsible for the installation, setup, administration, maintenance, and enhancement of new and existing applications and infrastructure. *ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:* *Technical Competencies* - Hands-on implementation of standards, processes, and procedures related to application infrastructure setup, administration, security, clustering, upgrade management, monitoring, capacity planning, fail-over, and disaster recovery, etc. - Collaborating with the architecture and development team leads to provide hands-on analysis and resolution of issues. - Review and improve application configurations. - Research and resolve issues related to applications. - Ensure all environments are documented through data flow diagrams and configuration requirements. - Technical planning and implementing of tools/solutions to improve the application architecture in terms of performance, resiliency, availability, scalability and globalization needs. - Deploy 3rd party and internal application upgrades, patches, and documentation *Experience* This candidate is expected to have a lead role in all aspects of IBM Cognos BI Suite infrastructure administration in large scale user base. The required skills include but not limited to the following: - 5+ years working with Cognos Enterprise Planning - 5+ years working with relational databases, and administering SQL Server in an enterprise environment.
