Essential Functions: *Develops and unit tests integration code within an Agile Sprint *Debugs integration points between multiple systems, working with middleware and infrastructure specialists as necessary *Provides estimates on the amount of time needed to complete testing related tasks within a sprint *Managing the overall application configuration and merging it with new releases of the Guidewire application *Resolving issues identified in testing Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: *Strong analytical skills *Experience developing web services *Experience tracking and resolving issues *Experience working as a part of an Agile development team *Strong verbal and written communication skills *Experience with multi-tier architectures and complex integrations with both internal and external systems *Ideal candidate will have experience developing integrations with Guidewireusing XML and GScript, Guidewire's scripting language (similar to JavaScript). Alternatively, candidates that have strong programming experience with XML, Java, and SQL will be considered. Preferred Qualifications: * Property and Casualty Insurance testing experience strongly preferred. * Oracle SOA Suite (Fusion) experience preferred, but not required Title: Policy Integration Developer Work Schedule: M-F, 8:00am – 5:00pm Start Date: As soon as possible 6+months Location: Tallahassee, FL Position Summary: Integration Developers are primarily responsible for developing integration code (primarily using GScript and XML), including web service development and integration. Essential Functions: Estimates effort required for each integration point Designs the overall integration architecture in conjunction with experts in target systems; Designing and coding integration programs including plug-ins, message sinks (and supporting business rules), and programs that call the Guidewire application APIs Collaborates with Guidewire Configuration teams to support creating form and letter templates and their supporting XML descriptor files Triages and resolves issues identified in testing via collaboration with Guidewire Integration teams, Guidewire Configuration teams, Middleware Integration teams, and external system teams Coordinates and supports new Guidewire suite environment build-outs including required integrations Manages the overall Guidewire integration layer and merges it with new releases of the Guidewire application Develops and unit tests integration code within an Agile Sprint Debugs integration points between multiple systems, working with middleware and infrastructure specialists as necessary Resolving issues identified in testing Must be able to work in Agile fast paced environment, but can work independently or as part of a team. Can follow instruction and is able to arrive to logical conclusions. Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Experience in coding in XML and GOSU Experience programming in Java Experience developing integrations with Guidewire using XML and GScript, Guidewire's scripting language (similar to JavaScript). Alternatively, candidates that have strong programming experience with XML, Java, and SQL will be considered. Experience with modern integrated development environments such as Eclipse or WSAD Experience debugging software issues across Guidewire configuration and integration layers and across multiple integrated systems.
