Months+   Job Description: ·         Has technical expertise in a defined
area and can handle problems/tickets - complex in nature. ·         Serves
as escalation point for all issues within a group (infrastructure
support/network) in a project. ·         Responsible for maintenance and
administration, enhancements, following change management policies, report
capacity and availability, updating of the ticketing system and KEDB.
·         Is expected to train and mentor junior administrators. ·
Maintains a roster for shift management (if applicable). ·         Is
expected to participate in weekly operational meetings, change management
meetings. ·         Expected to lead the team from transition to delivery
and also work with Project manager for Infrastructure projects and SI work.
·         Should engage in Continuous Improvement Projects or SIPs to
improve productivity and SLAs. ·         In Package Implementation space:
The incumbent leads and manage complex DBA projects, has expertise in new
technologies, developments, database and application upgrades. ·
Mentors and groom DBAs.   Domain Skills: ·         Database concepts
Relational Database Concepts Normalization Entity and relationships
Database administration activities Conversant with DBMS Packages Backup and
Recovery Patching & Cloning Trouble shooting Backup Ability to design
logical and Physical models of Database layouts and Schema. ·
Performance Tuning Migration Techniques Knowledge on Replication Server HA
Implementation Licensing Backup & Recovery   CPU/Memory/LAN utilization
thru Tools: ·         Monitoring disk space quotas allocation. ·
Monitoring File Systems & RAW Disk alerts. ·         Documented activities
(SOP based). ·         Starting and stopping of VMs. ·         Password
management. ·         Monitoring & Managing network performance. ·
Installing and Upgrading VMware Tools. ·         VMware Guest Backup.
·         Starting the VI Client. ·         Stopping the VI Client.
·         Connecting to the Service Console. ·         Design and Plan HA
Strategy (High Availability -RAC / Cluster / Replication / Data Guard /
Standby /Database Failover strategy · Database DR strategy /Flashback) How
is it setup and configured What happens during a fail-over What happens
during fail-back When is it typically done What are the steps a DBA should
