*Primary Skills:*
*X/HTML, Javascript and CSS , PHP, LAMP environment, JavaScript and
frameworks such as jQuery, Prototype, YUI, DOM manipulation and
AJAX-enabled UIs.*
*Job Description:*
Client is currently seeking Web Developers (contract) to join our
small but quickly growing team in Palo Alto, CA. You are highly motivated,
detail-oriented, and not afraid to try new things. You will be part of a
small web development team - so you must be a problem solver, a fast
learner, and comfortable wearing many hats.
*Requirements:*
v B.S. or higher studies in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
v 5+ years’ experience writing clean, hand-coded X/HTML, Javascript and
CSS in consumer-facing web applications.
v Excellent mastery of web standards, cross-browser compatibility, and
building in accessibility from the ground up.
v Fluent in JavaScript and frameworks such as jQuery, Prototype, YUI.
v Strong working knowledge of DOM manipulation and AJAX-enabled UIs.
v Comfortable debugging client-side issues with firebug, web developer and
similar tools.
v Strong OO programming skills.
v Strong server-side development skills --primarily PHP (familiarity with
Python a plus).
v Solid understanding of fundamental web technologies such as HTTP, REST,
and JSON.
v Experience working in an open-source LAMP environment. Should be
comfortable using UNIX command line tools.
v Experience with Drupal a huge plus.
v Strengths:
v Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and
familiarity with modern Agile development methodologies (XP, Scrum, etc).
v Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
v Excellent written and verbal English skills.
v Experience with SQL and RDBMS (MySQL, Oracle, etc.) a plus.
