*JOB TITLE: AIX Admin * * Location: *GA-Georgia/Norcross *Duration: **1 Year* *M.O.I Telephonic + Skype* *Only required USC,GC,EAD-GC for this requirement.* * NOTES: * - Must have a minimum of 5 years with AIX, Power VM/VIO (install, configure and support) and PowerPath. - Perl and Bash scripting are nice to haves. - Looking for someone who is interested in a temp to perm and has troubleshooting experience. *JOB DESCRIPTION:* The candidate will perform senior system administration on AIX platforms for financial information systems. Tasks include providing 24X7 systems administration, root cause analysis, maintain PCI compliance, provide guidance for system automation and improved monitoring, and identify opportunities to improve online availability. *RESPONSIBILITIES: *The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks: • Provide operational system administration support for AIX based servers in a high availability, 24x7x365 environment. • Perform troubleshooting, resolution and problem analysis. • Approve and execute Change Controls for hardware, OS and applications. • Monitor alerting systems and servers. • Drive continual service improvement. • Provide and receive cross training from immediate support team. • In-depth documentation of activities and system configuration. • Develop custom reports to meet the business needs. *EDUCATION * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent job related experience. *Job Related Experience* Minimum five years of experience with AIX platforms. Patch deployment OS troubleshooting and provisioning In-depth understanding of PowerPath Performance tuning analysis PowerVM/VIO – install, configure, and support Autosys Perl and Bash scripting *Other Qualifications:* Strong troubleshooting and analytical thinking skills. Able to adapt to change in deadlines and changes in the nature of assignments.
