*Job Title: Application Support Analyst * *Location: Columbia, SC* *Duration: 6 Months* *Job Description:* Application Support Analyst This person will be responsible for ongoing support and maintenance of a suite of applications related to client Production Planning supporting key area of Supply Chain Business functionality. *Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities * Ensure availability of application for end users consistent with Service Level Agreements. Provide Support for restoration of service; investigate cause of problems, quick response on problem calls and fixes. Respond to inquiries from Business Users for assistance in diagnosing Production System operations, data, Be able to make ongoing recommendation for operational improvements of production applications. Serve as On-call support person as part of rotation within an application support team. On-call support duties will cover regular business hours, nights and weekends on a schedule basis. Key Competencies Should have functional knowledge of Warehousing concepts and principles. Work as part of a support team providing 24 x 7 Application Support for a suite of Logistics applications and serve as On-call support person on a rotation basis as required. Provide support for Restoration of Service. This includes investigation of cause of outage, quick response for problem remediation. Should be able to Work in On-shore / Offshore delivery model, follow-up on problem resolutions, facilitate and deployment of application code enhancements to production. Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle. Support Logistics Business Users in understanding requirements and executing small enhancements or Projects independently or with help of off shore team. *Education and Experience * 5 + experience in application support and development MUST HAVE: with Supply Chain - Production Planning Have 2 + years development experience in following technologies (at least one in each category): OS: AIX, Windows, MVS ETL: Abinitio, SQL Scheduling: Maestro Scheduler Scripts: Perl, Korn Shell, Windows Batch Scripts Database: Oracle 11g Technologies: PL/SQL, Java, Java (Applets), weblogic, iplannet Web Server Apache Web Server, SCP, BPI, SCSA Data Transfer: Pelican Experience in mainframe technologies (IDMS COBOL, ADSO, JCL, MVS) desirable. Previous Application Support and Development experience in Supply Chain Management environment desirable.
