Please include your employer details as well and reply to my official id [email protected] <[email protected]>* *JOB TITLE: Linux Engineer* *Location: GA-Georgia/Atlanta* *Duration: 1 Year* *M.O.I Telephonic + Skype* *END CLIENT- Weather Channel* *Linux Engineer-This person needs to have experience working with Amazon EC2/AWS and Chef or Puppet experience. * *Skills that are absolutely required:* - Strong Linux skills (RedHat 6.x/CentOS 5.x & 6.x) - Cloud computing experience specifically with Amazon cloud (AWS) - Experience with Puppet, and/or MCollective and/or Factor - Strong scripting knowledge (shell, perl, python) - Prior experience in working with API gateways and management solutions would be considered a huge plus. - Experience in caching (specifically with Akamai) would be a plus. *Day-to-Day Responsibilities: *The Weather Channel is looking for a systems engineer to join a fast paced dynamic environment to build the next generation weather data platform. The systems engineer will be responsible for designing and developing solutions for infrastructure setup, configuration, automation and caching, primarily on the cloud. This requires an excellent understanding of sound application/infrastructure design, networking, application deployment and management, server provisioning and maintenance, and platform automation. The systems engineer will work closely with data systems engineers/architects, performance/platform engineers and application developers/architects.
