Please include your employer details as well and reply to my official id [email protected] <[email protected]>* *JOB TITLE: UNIX Administrator* *Location: MA-Massachusetts/Boston* *Duration: 6+ Months* *M.O.I Telephonic + Face2Face* *Minimum Requirements:* - *Position requires 5-7 years’ hands-on experience as a Unix Administrator.* - Candidate will have experience administering SUN Enterprise class servers in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. - The candidate should have experience in clustering technologies including Veritas and SUN Cluster Server.Experience in financial services a definite positive and preferred - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills are required. - The candidate should have a strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and host configurations *Description:* - Maintaining the backup of all the servers in Dev/Qa environment - Building new servers for the upcoming projects. - Resolving the regular day to day Team Track tickets - Maintaining 24/7 uptime on all the dev/qa servers - Installing any 3rd party software when required by the Application teams - Supporting the Database Admins in database related issues. - Upgrading the OS on servers to the latest version. Production - DR failover - HA testing - OS patching - Reviewing weekly backups The UNIX System Administrator will be comfortable managing multiple priorities and day-to-day activities. Will have strong knowledge of UNIX (Solaris) and, to lesser extent, Linux operating systems. Will perform installations, upgrades, and patch updates. Strong interpersonal skills and good written and verbal communication skills are required. Ability to adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
