 *The client is looking consultant having experience in Retail or
Merchandise.*


 *JOB DESCRIPTION:*


 Client is seeking a *BSA with Fashion* *expertise* to drive their
Assortment Planning software selection project, which will be conducted at
the San
Francisco office location. The project will involve the evaluation of 2-3
software vendor products.

 *Timing: The selection project will begin early in 2014 due to other
inflight initiatives such as the POS hardware refresh.

 *Business Model: The fast fashion business model is a key driver that
results in frequent flow of merchandise to the store.

 *Current System: The current assortment planning process, which is
supported in Excel, will be replaced by the Assortment Planning software.
 The selected software must be able to interface  with JDA, which is a key
part of the existing technical architecture.

 *Decision Makers: The software selection will be performed by client group
comprised of one key decision-maker with 3-4 leaders from Merchandising.

*Team Involvement: The involvement of Merchandising leaders must be
carefully scheduled due to monthly market trips and other key meetings the
following week that must be preserved to

   maintain the rhythm of the business.

 Assortment Planning Challenges:

 -Market:  Merchandisers must be in the market and in touch with consumer
trends.

 - Reconciliation / Approval Process:  Fast Fashion requires quick changes
/ approvals on the fly.

 - Integration:  Systems must be integrated to provide real-time data for
planning, analyzing and     monitoring.

- Respond:  Merchandisers must have the information they need to be market
responsive.

*Scope of Software Selection:*


  The software that Client is looking to implement will cover all the
functional areas described below:

                Merchandising Workflows:

                -Focused on Ready-to-Wear & Accessories as most divergent
workflows

                -In-Season Planning

                -Analysis of Allocation

                -Financial Allocation

                -PO / Item Creation / Management

                -Attribute Assignment

                -Price Management

                -Occasional Promotional / Ad Event Buying

                -Attribute Assignment

                -Allocation at time of Receipt at Distribution Center to
ensure correct store presentation

                T EDI - ASN Interface:

                -Pre-allocation before receipt at DC

                Vendor Product Delivery:

                -Currently reaches but would like to move to Pack / Musical
Runs

                Software Selection Project Approach:

                Phase 1:  5 Plus weeks

                Requirements Gathering:

                Phase Objective: Conduct template-driven discovery sessions
to document key business requirements of new system
