As a member of the Broadcast Operations Network Implementation team, you will be integral in the integration of critical infrastructure projects for new Broadcast and Broadband systems. *You will utilize your in‐depth knowledge of products from major vendors including:* · *· EMC/Isilon* · *· HP/3PAR* · *· NetApp* · *· VMware* · *· Brocade* *Cisco Experience with many other vendors to implement solutions will be required to meet* *specific business requirements for capacity, performance, and disaster recovery objectives.* *Primary responsibilities include:* • Work with business partners, project management groups and other stakeholders to understand project requirements • Work collaboratively with cross‐functional teams to evaluate engineering and vendor solutions to integrate into the environment • Serve as a subject matter expert for project requirements, methods and tools • Oversee transition of releases into production • Develop and tuning planning methodologies to onboard new infrastructure, software and ultimately services into the environment • Review new technologies that could reduce overall costs, create efficiencies and provide significant value • Evaluate potential cross‐platform consolidation tools • Research potential automation strategies • Understand key design concepts including latency, scalability, efficiency and failover *Minimum Qualifications* • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field • 7+ years relevant experience in systems or storage related environments • Strong experience with VMWare ESX infrastructure 4.x\5.x • Strong experience with Redhat & Oracle Linux • Strong experience with Dell hardware and management software, including chassis, blades & I/O modules • Knowledgeable of VMware PowerCLI, DRS, HA, standard and distributed virtual switches, and vMotion. • Knowledge of SAN fabrics and OS level troubleshooting of SAN storage, multipath and powerpath • Experience with Brocade Fabric OS and Brocade Network Advisor (BNA) • Knowledge of software development methodologies and structured approaches to system development • Experience working with, analyzing and designing solutions for network protocols such as CIFS, NFS, FTP, sFTP, HTTPS, as well as any other protocol that could be used to transport files and other data • Experience in effectively operating within diverse and cross‐functional groups • Good troubleshooting and reverse engineering skills • Experience in fast‐paced environment with ability to adapt and change priorities as the business needs change • Excellent communication skills, including ability to tailor communication to audience to achieve desired results *Desirable Skills/Experience:* • RHCSA or RHCE certification • Experience with EMC/Isilon, NetApp and HP/3PAR NAS/SAN environments • Experience with Splunk or other enterprise monitoring and analytical technologies Candidates must be successful working both independent and with cross‐functional teams.
