The engineer will be responsible for writing and integrating software programs for commercial, lab and clinical database systems. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Work with end users, clients, project management and system architects to define, specify and review system requirements. - Plan and coordinate specification, design and implementation of both internal and customer facing information systems using industry standard best practices. - Design, develop and configure software applications in client/server and web environment. - Enhance and Support existing information systems and applications. - Write professional-quality documented code. - Work with software QA staff and Quality team to ensure quality deliverables. *WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:* - 7+ years experience in developing web based and client-server applications with a heavy reliance on performance, scalability and reliability. - Proficiency in Java, XML, JSP, Java Servlets, HTML, JavaScript and other J2EE technologies. - Experience in web application frameworks like Struts, Tapestry, Vaadin, GWT or similar frameworks. - Experience with relational databases.
