*Required Skills:*
5+ years of production support on SQL Server
Install and patch SQL Server 2005, 2008 R2, 2012 and 2014 SSDS, SSAS, SSIS
and SSRS.
Manage security and permissions on SSDS, SSAS, SSIS and SSRS.
Manage change control for code promotion on Microsoft database resources.
Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 operational support.
Troubleshoot service problems; determine root cause, and provide
resolutions.
Produce documentation as needed on database standards and policies.
Monitor database performance and derive solutions for performance problems.
Provide guidance on good database design and implementation practices to
Developers.
Perform capacity planning for database systems.
Perform and ensure database backups and restores.
Participate in DR testing and execution.
Participate in team environment to share workload and responsibilities as
circumstance warrants.
Ensure compliance with database policies and procedures.
Perform object creation and alteration according to established change
control procedures.
Maintain working knowledge of relevant operating system, network and
storage principles relating to database platforms.
