This is more like Linux Security Administration*. They will be working with the security team and should have lots of experience in that side of Linux as opposed to the tuning and application support. They will be supporting and using Security tools to make sure there are no security breaches within their Linux environment (i.e. determine and analyze logging repositories for cyber attacks/hackers).
